- Priority - Medium
- Affecting System - Tertiary & Quaternary Nameservers
Our tertiary and quaternary nameservers are currently being upgraded to handle a higher capacity of traffic for future scenarios and in order to do this, since we are using a third-party provider for these two specific servers, we must point to two different addresses. For the next 48-hours there might be some noticeable downtime accessing our main website here at GekkoFyre Networks for a very small percentage of people but otherwise, that will be the only disruption in services.
If you have any questions and/or concerns then please, forward them to our tech support agents who will get in contact with you as soon as-is feasible. We are expanding rapidly and appreciate your kindness and understanding in these times.

- Affecting System - ns2.gekkofyre.io
There is an issue with our secondary nameserver,
ns2.gekkofyre.io, that we at GekkoFyre Networks and Plesk technical support are currently investigating. For some reason that's unknown to us, Plesk decided to replace PowerDNS with BIND in one of the recent updates and this has caused widespread mis-configuration errors across the backup server,
gluten.gekkofyre.io, as of the time of this posting. We are in communication with Plesk about this issue but due to the holidays (post-Christmas and New Years), some delays are to be expected. The effect of this to our infrastructure should be minimal as we have the following three other DNS servers to pickup the slack:
If you have any enquiries and/or are experiencing issues with GekkoFyre Networks services then please, redirect them to our customer service team where we will assist you in a timely manner as possible.

- Affecting Other - Infrastructure
GekkoFyre Networks is aware of issues with some of its infrastructure, regarding network bandwidth at least, being at capacity with its upstream provider. We have taken measures by purchasing additional network capacity but due to all the holiday cheer with it being Christmas and everyone on holidays as a result, we are not sure if this will resolve the problem entirely. We offer our sincerest apologies but this issue is largely out of our control, it really only happens one time a year and having the capacity to meet these needs year-round would be prohibitively expensive and totally unreasonable. If you have any questions and/or comments then please, get in touch with our technical support department.

Due to a critical and outstanding issue with cPanel/WHM (see details below), we had to make an emergency restart of all major servers in our infrastructure throughout GekkoFyre Networks to avoid any potential issues down the line. The outage lasted approximately 10-minutes and it was not possible to schedule any maintenance ahead of time due to the urgency so we do apologize but if you are experiencing any issues with your own server that you have with us, please contact the support department immediately and open a ticket with us. We'll handle your ticket as soon as possible.
We've received multiple reports of service failures and failed reboot attempts after a system is upgraded to CentOS version 7.6. Upon investigating the issue, it appears the issue is isolated to systems missing the /etc/selinux/config file that's being provisioned by the selinux-policy RPM.
The fix for this issue has been documented on the cPanel/WHM1 forums here: https://go.cpanel.net/centos76upgradenotice
Thank you to Suede of our Discord server for bringing up this issue right away, it has certainly saved us some difficulties.
1 Please note that we are not affiliated with cPanel/WHM, they are a third-party.
